Remote control and SIP tracing for Cisco desk phones
๐ŸŽฎ Hijacka Collab Cowboy tool
See any phone’s screen and press its buttons, from your desk.

Diagnosing a phone you can’t reach usually means a truck roll, or talking a user through button presses over the phone while you read logs. Hijack is remote control for Cisco desk phones: a live screenshot and full control from your browser. Press keys, navigate menus, reboot the phone, all without leaving your chair. When a call misbehaves, its SIP Ladder replays the signaling as a plain-English swim-lane.

Hijack pulls a live screen image and drives the phone’s keypad remotely over its onboard web interface. The SIP Ladder reconstructs a recent call’s signaling into a readable diagram, and a vitals popout shows registration, codec, and firmware at a glance.

Remote Control

VNC for desk phones

A live image of the phone’s screen, and full control of its keypad and softkeys from the browser. Walk the menus, change a setting, or reboot the phone, the same things you’d do standing in front of it, from wherever you are.

  • Live screen: see exactly what the user sees
  • Full control: press keys and softkeys, navigate menus
  • Reboot remotely: bounce the phone without a site visit
  • Auto-configured: Hijack enables what it needs to connect

SIP Ladder & Vitals

Read the call, not the raw trace

Replay a recent call’s signaling as a plain-English swim-lane diagram instead of digging through SDL or SOAP traces. A vitals popout shows registration state, negotiated codec, and firmware so you can rule out the basics fast.

  • SIP Ladder: call signaling as a readable swim-lane
  • Plain English: what happened, not raw protocol dumps
  • Phone vitals: registration, codec, firmware at a glance
  • Faster root cause: see where a call actually broke
Why teams reach for it
Branch-site troubleshooting without the drive.
No truck roll. See the screen and press the buttons from your desk. The remote branch with no on-site hands stops being a blocker.
No more “press the button now.” Stop narrating keypresses to a user over the phone; you drive it yourself and watch what happens.
Signaling you can read. The SIP Ladder turns a dropped-call trace into a swim-lane that shows where it failed, without parsing SDL by hand.
Rule out the basics fast. Vitals put registration, codec, and firmware one click away, so you’re not guessing at the obvious.
Nothing to pre-stage. Hijack auto-configures the phone access it needs, so you connect and work instead of setting up first.
Help desk moves faster. A phone problem gets looked at in seconds instead of scheduled as a visit.
For branch sites and remote hands you don’t have
Every phone at a site with no local IT is either a drive or a game of telephone. Hijack puts the phone’s screen and buttons in your browser, so a config check, a menu walk, or a reboot is something you just do, and a bad call becomes a readable ladder instead of a raw trace.
